Internet (Digital) Marketing is Constantly Re-Creating Itself
Marketing on the internet in 2011 is a dynamic process: Interactive, Growth Stimulating, Producing Motion and Needing Regular Fresh Input. Many businesses still think of their website and internet presence in the terms of a 1970 telephone: plug it in, forget it and it works like a charm for the next 20 years.
In terms of internet (digital) marketing, the old idea of ‘plug it in and forget it’ is totally wrong!
I am not a big fan of the over-used phrase Paradigm Shift – but this is one case in which I can make an exception. The demands of digital marketing in 2011 is a total Paradigm Shift from even 10 years ago.
Is SEO Dead or Merely on Life Support?
As organizer for the Meetup group Fort Worth Web Design Enthusiasts, I created this title for our last Meetup. As expected, the title generated some lively discussion. Resolved: SEO is not Dead. But IMO, SEO is changing and continues to evolve.
So What’s the Secret Formula?
It is not that big a secret – although many businesses still have not noticed!
SEO + Social Media + Blogging (Content Marketing)
The Essential Big 3 for All Business (especially small business) are: SEO + Social Media + Blogging (Content Marketing). The Big 3 work together as a dynamic unit to promote and expand Internet Presence and Customer Base.
So whether your business is large, small or a corporate giant – forget the ‘plug and play’ concept! Also, it is not enough to simply believe ‘If We Build a Website – Customers Will Somehow Just Find It!’.
All business needs a Dynamic Internet Presence: Interactive with Customers, Business Growth Stimulating, Producing Customer Motion to Find Out More/Buy and Providing Fresh Useful Input (blog posts, Facebook updates, tweets, special offers, etc) on a Regular Basis.
